The Club 4000 is a group of the Turin section of the Italian Alpine Club (CAI).
Saying CAI and saying Turin is a bit the same thing.
The city was in fact the cradle of the Italian Alpine Club, founded at the Valentino Castle in Turin on October 23, 1863.
Today the CAI Turin is made up of 9 subsections and groups that organize social trips, 5 schools organizing the learning courses, an Alpine Choir, the prestigious National Museum of the Mountain, and not least a conspicuous heritage of refuges and bivouacs, located in Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta.
